Child Safety Standards

WIMI has a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards describe how we work to prevent, detect, and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation on WIMI, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable laws.

Our commitment

  • We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or behaviour that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children.
  • WIMI is not directed to children. The service is intended for users aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly allow accounts for children under 13.
  • We take child safety reports seriously and act on them promptly.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on WIMI:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to sexually exploit or endanger a minor.
  • Sexualization of minors in images, text, links, or profile content.
  • Sharing links to, or promotion of, CSAE material anywhere on the platform.

Reporting child safety concerns

WIMI lets users report content directly in the app. If you see content or behaviour that may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, use the in-app report action on the relevant post or content, or contact us through our contact page. Every report is reviewed by our team.

How we respond

  • We remove violating content and take action on the accounts involved, including suspension or permanent removal.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement, as required by law, and preserve relevant information accordingly.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection authorities.

Compliance with laws

WIMI complies with applicable child safety laws and reporting obligations in the regions where it operates, and reports to the relevant regional and national authorities as required.
